Dressed in Imperfect Yellow

Dressed in Imperfect Yellow

Do you ever struggle with feelings of imperfection?

I certainly do.

Sometimes those feelings can hold me back from pursuing what God has called me to do. I find myself worrying more about what others think than about following His direction. Deep down, this creates doubt—questions that linger: Have I made the right choice? Am I truly called to attend this Bible study? Should I step into this community? Is this the event I'm meant to be at? Often, this second-guessing comes from my flesh taking over, drowning out that gentle, still voice of the Holy Spirit within me.

It becomes harder to hear God's whisper when I'm constantly rushing, filling my days with so much noise and activity that I miss what He's already told me.

I feel at those times I have dressed myself in my imperfections.  Meaning my thought is not in peace.  Peace is paramount to hearing Gods whispers.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true. whatever is noble, whatever is admirable --if anything is excellent of praiseworthy--Think about such things. NIV
